Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Cape Verdean Fredilson Semedo, a native of the municipality of São Salvador do Mundo, in the interior of the island of Santiago, who lives in Portugal, wants to present his first book of poetry, entitled “Versos do Atlântico Insular”, also in Cabo Verde..
According to the author, before going to Cabo Verde he already had the opportunity to make this presentation in Lisbon, on the 22nd of September, which took place at the facilities of the Cape Verdean Association of Lisbon (ACV) and was in charge of José Luís Hopffer Almada, Florizandra Delgado Barros and Carlos Sena Júnior, with special guest Paul Kalambay.
According to Fredilson Semedo, who calls himself “the poet of the islands”, the next presentation of the work is scheduled for October, at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
“I also want to present in Cabo Verde, namely in Picos [where he is born], at the University of Cabo Verde and at the University of Santiago [Santa Catarina]”, he indicated, without yet having a date for this.
