Africa-Press – Cape verde. The “Nôs e Nôs Terra” meeting organizes this Saturday a colloquium on “The participation of the Diaspora in the development of Cabo Verde”, also addressing the economic and social situation of the country and the main challenges it has faced.
“The theme chosen has to do with the fact that it is on the agenda, with the pandemic, the issue of the Diaspora’s solidarity and a number of other issues, with international organizations putting the issue on the agenda, we think it was worth returning to the discussion,” he explained to Inforpress in Lisbon, the co-promoter of the talking shop “Nôs e Nôs Terra”, João Estêvão.
From the edition of the colloquium that will be online, according to the same source, the proposals from there out will be sent to the authorities and to all interested parties, as soon as possible, hoping that they will be received and used by those who “are able to follow up”, because the goal is to “make a contribution that can help” the leaders of the country.
The purpose motivates the promoters of the talking shop to hold the colloquium is to “look at and debate the different forms of participation of the Diaspora in the development of Cabo Verde”, especially when carried out by the professionals in the Diaspora and other professionals and entrepreneurs with evidence given in the host countries.
