Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Mambo space, in the city of Praia, is hosting a Latin benefit party tonight, in favor of the little school “Bracinha” of the Iraqi community, in São Vicente. The initiative came from the Brazilian ambassador in Cape Verde, Ilma Ferreira.

As it advanced to A NAÇÃO, the purpose of the party is to raise funds to make “improvements of the structure of the little school “Um Bracinha” which is located in the community Iraq, in São Vicente.

The idea, he says, came from a conversation between Wilma Ferreira and the honorary Consul of Brazil in São Vicente, Celso Sertório, who visited the community and realized that it “needed help”.

It is recalled that the space “Brecinha is a space for social integration that welcomes children from that needy community of São Vicente, who stay in that space, while their mothers seek sustenance for their families, functioning as a day care center.

The Latin night, which will have surprise prizes for the best three couples of dancers, will take place tonight, starting at 8:30 pm, at the Mambo space, in Prainha, in the capital. Tickets cost 2,000 escudos and are on sale in regular spaces and 2,500 at the door.
