Africa-Press – Cape verde. The airline that guarantees the internal connection will double, between 22 and 30 April, the number of connections between Praia/São Filipe, to transport people wishing to participate in the Municipality and Flag Day festivities.
Information collected by Inforpress from some travel agencies in the city of São Filipe, reports that the company, which makes a daily air connection between Praia/São Filipe, with the exception of Saturday, will guarantee two daily connections from April 22nd and introduced a flight on Saturdays (April 23rd and 30th).
In all, in the span of nine days, the company will carry out 16 flights from Praia to São Filipe and taking into account that the seats are all sold out, it is estimated that in this period more than a thousand people will arrive in São Filipe by air.
Maritime connection every day
As for the maritime connection, according to data provided by the agencies, with the exception of the 22nd and 24th, Inter-ilhas guarantees connection every day between São Filipe/Praia/São Filipe, but there is a guarantee of carrying out extra connections and with the ship of Inter-island that has twice the capacity of the Fast Ferry.
Even at maritime level, for the 25th and 29th of April, there are no places available from Praia to São Filipe.

In terms of accommodation, demand continues, but hotels and guesthouses are fully booked, as is usually the case on the occasion of the Municipality Day and the São Filipe flag, one of the biggest cultural events on the island and in the country.
A team from the municipality of São Filipe has already started the fence of the Presídio square, scene of most of the cultural activities, as well as the assembly of the stage, and everything should be operational from the 25th of April for the official start of the festivities, after of an absence of two years.
