Africa-Press – Cape verde. The president of the Sports and Youth Institute today considered the fifth national meeting of sports and youth councillors a “challenge won”, thus proving the capacity of the island of Brava to host events of a national nature.
José Eduardo dos Santos made this consideration to journalists as part of the closing of the forum that brought together for two days, the 5th and 6th, in the city of Nova Sintra, the main actors and experts in the sector.
“At the national meeting of councillors, our fifth meeting, we actually managed to fulfil the agenda, to align the national youth and sports programmes of the municipalities,” he explained, adding that a number of proposals were put forward by the young people, who gave the event a positive assessment.
“Here at the forum today, we felt this closure due to the satisfaction of the young people and the feedback that was given by the engagement of young people in these two days, in questioning, in the presentation of proposals for public policies in the area of youth within what was proposed, which was to discuss and analyse opportunities within the scope of sustainable tourism, therefore it seemed to us that the challenge was well achieved and overcome” he highlighted.
