The president of the Santa Catarina de Santiago City Council today considered 2024 to be the year for the municipality, announcing the resumption of some works and the beginning of other “structural works” to be carried out.Jassira Monteiro was speaking to the press in the town of Rincão, where the council team she leads went to witness the resumption of works to requalify the seafront, which, according to the mayor, had been stopped due to some constraints, but which have already been resumed and will be delivered yet this year 2024.

With this, Jassira Monteiro considered that the municipality is entering the year in a “great way”, emphasizing that the municipality has done “excellent” work, especially at a social level, although, in this area, as she highlighted, work often does not appear much to the public, but with these works resumed and which will begin, as a team they are making a commitment to Santa Catarina.
This commitment, according to the mayor, is not only working to empower families, but also bringing structural works that will attract investment, attract tourism and bring more development to the municipality.
Well, he justified that these works will lead to the development of communities, bring more territorial cohesion, justifying this as the reason to say that “2024 really is the year for Santa Catarina”.
In addition to the resumption of works, the president announced for this year the start of asphalting works on the Saltos-Pingo Chuva-Arribada road, but also on the road that connects Fundura to Ribeira da Barca, the Boa Dentro road that will be asphalted from Nhagar to Poilão park.
Likewise, he announced the beginning of studies for the tourist villages project, in addition to continuing the small excavation works within the localities, but also the beginning of the requalification works of the new market.
