Africa-Press – Cape verde. The President of the Republic welcomed his counterpart in the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, for commemorating Italy’s National Day and expressed an interest in strengthening cooperation ties between the two countries.
José Maria Neves extended in his letter the “wishes for prosperity and well-being for Italy” and addressed to him, on behalf of the Cabo Verdean people and in his own name, the most vivid congratulations.
“On this occasion, I express to you my readiness to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation, both bilaterally and in the framework of the Special Partnership between Cabo Verde and the European Union, for the mutual benefit of our countries and peoples,” the Head of State said in a letter sent to Rome today.
