The President of the Republic, José Maria Neves, receives next Monday, June 6th, the representatives of Project Health Cabo Verde (PHCV), from the United States of America, in the country from June 6th to 15th, in its 13th mission. The mission has already treated more than 10,000 patients and performed more than 200 surgeries in the country.
On this trip, the experts, who are accompanied by the Mayor of the City of Pawtucket, Donald Grebien, will be on the islands of Santiago, Fogo and Brava, contributing to the improvement of the health of the populations, according to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic.
Project Health Cabo Verde, underlined the same source, has been present in the country for more than a decade, during which time it brought 14 groups of specialists, who treated more than 10,000 patients and performed more than 200 surgeries.
“During the various missions to Cape Verde, the PHCV helped to develop important programs in urology, urogynecology, trauma surgery, diabetes and pediatric urology, in addition to promoting a series of medical lectures and helping with technology transfer and equipment maintenance in the sector. of health”, underlines the same source.
