Africa-Press – Cape verde. The President of the Republic, José Maria Neves, said Sunday that his first official visit to the island allowed him to “update” on the island’s challenges and gather “sufficient” information about the concerns of the population.
To Inforpress, José Maria Neves made a positive assessment of his visit and said there was “great concern” on the island, which relates to problems with transport and water.
“In the different villages we hear these concerns and are aspects that deserve great attention from the authorities,” said the Head of State, who also stressed that the search for solutions to these challenges will reflect on the “development” of tourism, agribusiness and fisheries and thus create more opportunities for growth and development of the island.
The first official visit of the President of the Republic was closed in the Fajã valley, where Neves reaffirmed the importance of the potential in agriculture, livestock and tourism.
