Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Prime Minister of Guinea-Bissau, Nuno Gomes Nabiam, today acknowledged the need to strengthen cooperation between Cape Verde and Guinea-Bissau in the areas of tourism, agriculture, digital economy, maritime and air transport, and energy transition.

The head of the Bissau-Guinean government made this observation in his speech during the opening of the International Partners Conference, which takes place for two days on the island of Boa Vista, under the motto “Driving changes and accelerating development.”

Nuno Gomes Nabiam considered the occasion of the partner conference “memorable,” and similarly thanked the opportunity to allow Guinea-Bissau to witness the engagement of partners with Cape Verde’s sustainable development program.

“Given the historical efforts of Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde, the shared challenges over the years by both countries, the need for strengthening cooperation both at the South-South level and within the ECOWAS, between these two countries, Guinea-Bissau acknowledges the need to strengthen cooperation in areas such as tourism, agriculture, digital economy, maritime and air transport, and energy transition,” he said, certifying that Guinea-Bissau will have “much to gain” from this sharing of experiences.
