Africa-Press – Cape verde. The “Less Alcohol, More Life Campaign”, idealized by the psychiatrist Manuel Faustino, now transformed into “Menos Álcool Mais Vida Foundation”, was made official this Monday, in this city, with the Prime Minister considering commendable this initiative in the fight against this problem.
Ulisses Correia e Silva considered that the Foundation will continue the “great work that had been implemented”, within the framework of creating conditions for the prevention of “disregulated and excessive consumption of alcohol”, given the consequences, “high costs linked to a set of associated crimes”.
“We hope that this work continues with increasing strength and that the Foundation, in this new guise, continues to do a great job”, stressed the Head of Government, adding that the Executive has every interest in working with NGOs, associations that operate in the area of prevention and recovery, for the rehabilitation of drug addicts.
Established in September 2022 to continue the Less Alcohol More Life Campaign, according to its chairman of the board of directors, Manuel Faustino, pursues the same objectives as this campaign, ultimately the prevention of the moderate use of alcoholic beverages.
