Africa-Press – Cape verde. Elisabeth Andrade, professor and researcher at the Faculty of Science and Technology of Uni-CV, defended the need for exploratory studies to know the true reasons for the weak representation of women in Engineering in Cabo Verde.
The university professor made this proposal in an interview with Inforpress, as part of the International Day of Women in Engineering, which is marked on June 23 and which this year has as its theme “Inventors and Innovators”.
Graduated in Information Engineering, master in Information System and PhD in Information and Communication Technologies in the area of Education, Elisabeth Andrade teaches at the University of Cabo Verde since 2006 and states that she feels fulfilled with the choice of profession.
However, she lamented the fact that there are few women in the engineering area in Cabo Verde and although the country has few women to practice this profession, the quality work they have been developing in various sectors is notorious.
