Africa-Press – Cape verde. Radio and Television of Cabo Verde advanced, in a statement, the decision to suspend coverage of all sports activities promoted by ARFSS, with immediate effect.
The decision comes after professionals from the two public bodies were barred from entering the Várzea Stadium. A situation that, according to the same source, happens for the “second time in a row”, in less than a week.
In question will be express orders given by the president of the Regional Football Association of Santiago Sul, Mário Avelino “Donnay” to prevent the entry of professionals from those bodies in that stadium.

According to the statement, the decision to prevent RTC teams from accessing the Várzea stadium was “taken unilaterally by the President of the Santiago Regional Football Association without the consent of the clubs”.
“The directors of the two public bodies regret having to move towards this position that limits the right of Cape Verdeans to be informed about the football activities in that region”, reads the statement.
The directors of Organs aforementioned bodies regretted taking this decision but expect to resume informative coverage of the South Santiago region when “the conditions are guaranteed for their professionals to be able to exercise their journalistic activity freely and without any conditioning”.
