The Beijing Room hosts, at 5 pm today, another moment of reflection and debate, with the conference “The importance of Scientific Research in Health for Cape Verde”.
As part of the 13th edition of Republic Week, the development of the theme will be in charge of the young researcher Pamela Borges, specialist in Molecular Science.
«Borges is currently carrying out research on Cancer in Cape Verde, more specifically on Breast Cancer, which deserves the full attention of authorities, society and youth, in particular, remembering that this 13th edition of Republic Week takes place under the sign of youth, science and innovation for development, with the motto ‘The Republic through the hands of youth’», made a point of highlighting the head of the State of Cape Verde in a note sent to Asemanaonline.
According to the same source, with this program, the President of the Republic intends to highlight the important contribution that young people can make to accelerate the country’s development, through science, technology and innovation applied to critical sectors for the archipelago.
The document states that the conferences planned in the program focus on two themes: the importance of scientific research in health and cybersecurity challenges and opportunities for small island States.
«The next Conference, on the theme Innovation and development: The Vision of Young People, will take place on January 17th, Wednesday, with four panels for debate, interaction and sharing of projects and solutions already applied to the Cape Verdean reality» , announces the Presidency of the Republic.
