Africa-Press – Cape verde. The mayor of Porto Novo, Aníbal Fonseca, is concerned about the delay in starting construction work on the Ribeira das Patas Health Center, having already discussed the issue with the prime minister.
Aníbal Fonseca, who was speaking to the population about the delay in starting the works, said he had raised this issue with the prime minister, on his recent visit to Porto Novo, earlier this week, considering that this delay is not justified. However, he assured that this health infrastructure will be built “to serve” this municipality.
“It can not be. The works must start so we can have the health center, which will serve Ribeira das Patas and the entire municipality of Porto Novo”, underlined the mayor, sharing the concern of the population of Ribeira das Patas regarding the delay in starting the project. .
Association calls for “effective start” of works
The first stone for the construction of the Ribeira das Patas health center was laid in June and, after four months, there are still no signs that the work will start, according to the representative of the Association for the Development of Ribeira das Patas, Arlindo Slender.
This official asked, this Thursday, 20, for the “effective start” of the health center works, informing that the population of this locality is “concerned” about this situation.
On the occasion of the launching of the first stone, the Minister of Health, Arlindo do Rosário, informed that this is a project estimated at 104 million escudos that would be ready in ten months.
