“Having taken stock, the actions of the Safe School project, as I said, were increased, they increased by around 17% and will continue to be reinforced, taking into account this phenomenon that is occurring in Sal”, stated Paulo Rocha.
According to the minister, there were several episodes of violence, including a serious attack inside the Liceu Olavo Muniz, which resulted in the evacuation of a student.
“It was a serious situation, which we all saw in the video that circulated,” he said, adding that those involved were identified and the case forwarded to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Among the reported incidents, police arrested two teenagers for fighting outside the school in 2024, in addition to several arrests for disrespecting law enforcement officers, carrying knives and narcotic substances.

The minister assured that the police have clear guidelines to continue paying attention to the problem and that incidents have decreased considerably, although they still persist.
