Africa-Press – Cape verde. Santa Maria, Sal Island, Apr 21 (Inforpress) – The new President hopes to honor the work done by the previous management commanded by Gualberto do Rosário for 13 years, continuing “all this effort” in the consolidation and conservation of the institution.
Jorge Spencer Lima made these statements during the inauguration of the new governing bodies of the Chamber of Tourism of Cape Verde, which took place Wednesday, 20, in Sal, whose ceremony was presided over by the Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva.
The new members of the governing bodies were elected last April 9, in a single list represented by Jorge Spencer Lima, Scapa as he is also known, unanimously elected by the 364 votes cast, without votes against or abstentions, results which, for the new chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Tourism, is a sign of confidence around this new team.
In his speech, aware of the obstacles the sector faces, Jorge Spencer Lima expressed willingness, together with the Government, to “face the impediments and overcome them”, while praising the Government for the “good things” it has done in this country, particularly for the business sector, at an “extremely difficult” time of the crisis Cabo Verde is also going through.
