Africa-Press – Cape verde. The leader of the PAICV Party in the Municipal Assembly (AM) of Sal, José Paixão, considered today that the city council management led by mayor Júlio Lopes is “fragmented, uncoordinated, and without direction”.
José Paixão was speaking at a press conference following his taking office, as the new leader of the PAICV bench in the AM of Sal, and following the activities scheduled for the current year, this time favoring visits to city council structures in the various locations on the island
“According to the visits made, a fragmented, uncoordinated municipal management was exposed, whose leadership is weakened and unable to organise itself for a planned, articulated and focused government action on the challenges facing the island. A total disorientation”, he said.
Criticising, on the other hand, the increase in the number of employees, in more than 220 elements, since 2016, counting the municipality, at this moment, with 721 workers, José Paixão noted that “not for that reason”, this amount of people, represents an improvement in the quality of operation and effectiveness of services.
