Sal Island: Pianists remember Dona Tututa during commented concert

Africa-Press – Cape verde. A group of pianists in Sal will remember Dona Tututa in a commented concert, promoted by the City Hall and the Management Committee of the Tututa Évora Municipal Musical School (EMAT), to mark another year of the pianist’s death.

The concert, which will be brightened by several pianists from the island, it’s expected to take place on Wednesday, the 26th, at 5:30PM, at the Tututa School of Arts in honor to its patron.

For some musicians and pianists, who say they will be present at the event, it is “necessary and important” to remember Dona Tututa with “the dignity she deserves”, taking into account the legacy she left as an “excellent pianist”.

As for the Tututa School, given its importance, all parties appeal to a better attention to the space that has been educating various talents in the music area, since its creation.
