Africa-Press – Cape verde. The internal elections for the Political Assembly Concelhia do MpD in Santa Catarina de Santiago have already been scheduled for the 27th of November, the party informed this Friday, the 21st.
In a statement, the Movement for Democracy (MpD) informs that the National Political Commission has scheduled internal elections for the Political Assembly of Santa Catarina de Santiago, for November 27, 2022.
The exhibition and consultation of the Electoral Books will take place, according to the same source, until next Thursday, 27 October.
Diversion of ballot box in April
It should be remembered that the internal elections for the Municipal Political Assemblies (APC) and Emigrated Communities of the MpD were held in April this year, in the country and in the diaspora, but were marked by the diversion of an urn in Santa Catarina de Santiago.
At the time, the president of the Electoral Process Support Office, Silvano Barros, explained that the process, in some tables, would be analyzed and, possibly, sent to the Jurisdiction Council, considering that “there were noises that in no way contributed to the normal functioning”, with the aggravating factor of one box having disappeared in a polling station, while in another there was presence of strangers in the polling room.
