Africa-Press – Cape verde. The “Santa Catarina virtual tour” project developed by the city council and the Operational Center for the Information Society, NOSi, will be launched within two weeks, on the occasion of the municipality’s day which is celebrated on November 25th.
The project, considered of “great importance” for the tourism promotion of the municipality of Santa Catarina, by President Alberto Nunes, involves the creation and application of 360° photographs, with the aim of highlighting the tourist and heritage points of the municipality of Santa Catarina do Fire.
The mayor said that more than three dozen photographs of tourist and heritage sites such as the Fogo Natural Park, Monte Velha, Fajã, viewpoints of Espigão and Maria da Cruz were collected and will be placed on the city council’s website, from today, but the official launch will take place as part of the municipality’s festivals, whose activities take place from the 18th to the 25th of November.
The more than three dozen photographs collected by the NOSi team, according to Alberto Nunes, highlight the “great tourist and heritage potential of the municipality” and will further promote tourism in the municipality of Santa Catarina and on the island of Fogo, adding that the images are accompanied by a short history of the tourist and heritage site of Santa Catarina do Fogo.
“It’s an interesting project because tourists can have data about Santa Catarina do Fogo from anywhere in the world”, said Alberto Nunes, indicating that “Santa Catarina virtual tour” is a project that will be fed with new photographs of tourist and heritage points of Santa Catarina.
