The Alfredo da Cruz Silva Secondary School and the Ponta Achada Basic School, in the municipality of Santa Cruz, in the interior of Santiago, started the 2022/23 academic year with a “new face”, and ready to receive students and teachers in another year, announced the guardianship minister, Amadeu Cruz.
In a publication, made on his Facebook page, Amadeu Cruz mentioned that the two schools received rehabilitation and maintenance works, from external painting, sealing, correction of cracks, electrical installations, installation of surveillance cameras in the secondary school and waterproofing of the whole building.
“It is important to emphasize that, as part of the preparation of the 2022/2023 school year, the Government, through the Ministry of Education, invested in the rehabilitation, expansion and adaptation of about 70 schools across the country”, said the same source.
Except for difficulties in completing “one or another” rehabilitation work, he guaranteed, conditions are met in terms of infrastructure for the functioning of schools.
