Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Santa Rita Vieira Regional Hospital (HRSRV) in Santiago Norte and the French medical team today made a “positive assessment” of this sixth mission and highlighted the areas of pediatrics and ophthalmology as a priority for the next mission.
This sixth four-day mission by French doctors to the municipality of Santa Catarina (Santiago island), which ended today, is part of a partnership agreement between the Association of Cape Verdeans in Amiens, France (ACVA), the City Council of Santa Catarina and this health institution, which started in 2018.
At a press conference, the director of HRSRV, Ludmilde Pina, noted that the three specialties of that mission, meet the current needs of the hospital, which join those of ophthalmology and pediatrics, which were indicated as a priority for the next mission scheduled for within six months.
More than the continuity of the mission, the doctor asked for periodicity, so that there is no rupture in these areas of specialties.
