Africa-Press – Cape verde. The National Health Directorate (DNS) is holding, from Monday to Wednesday, February 1, a training course in psychological first aid aimed at health professionals in the Sanitary Region of North Santiago ( RSSN).
The training action, which will take place in the meeting room of the RSSN Technical Office, in Achada Falcão (Santa Catarina) will have the participation of 15 health professionals from the seven Health Centers and the RSSN regional hospital, and will be carried out by the DNS, through the National Mental Health Program.
This training is part of the implementation of the project to reinforce the synergies of the challenge of Covid-19 and Noncommunicable Diseases, including mental health, and HIV/AIDS, a project that has the assistance of the World Health Organization (WHO).
At the opening of the training action, the new National Director of Health, Ângela Gomes, reinforced that this training is included in the National Strategic Plan for Mental Health 2021-2025 (PENSM) and in the Government program, which has as an essential pillar the interventions and a priority in the field of mental health.
