Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, marks the 28th and 29th, World Nature Tourism Day, in Santo Antão. The Head of Government will preside, on Friday, 29th, at the opening of the 1st International Nature Tourism Conference, in Lagoa de Ponta Leste, in addition to making several visits to tourist establishments.
The visit starts tomorrow, the 28th, with a tour of several tourist establishments and projects in the municipality of Paúl, including Tienne Del Mar, Residencial Lela de Fermina, Espaço Beth de Kinha, Hotel Chateau GEORGETTE, Aldeia Panorâmica and the future Aguardente Museum. In Ribeira Grande, visit the Tordesilhas Treaty Landmark in Ponta do Sol, the Fontainhas road, and several tourist resorts, culminating in Questel Branco.
On Friday, the 29th, he will preside over the opening of the 1st International Nature Tourism Conference in Lagoa de Ponta Leste. The initiative aims to debate the development and innovation of Cape Verdean tourism, focusing especially on Nature Tourism.
The conference highlights the importance of sustainable investments, fundamental for resilient economies, mitigating the effects of climate change and promoting global sustainability and highlighting Cape Verde’s diversity as a sustainable tourist destination.
This event, organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Transport, takes place under the motto “Tourism and Green Investments”.
