The regional commander of the National Police in Santo Antão, José Lima, today made a positive assessment of the Christmas festivities and stated that during this period everything was “normal” and there were few records of occurrences.Speaking to Inforpress, José Lima explained that the few incidents recorded “were not that” worrying.

Since the beginning of December, the regional command of the National Police in Santo Antão has been implementing the Christmas and end-of-year operational plan, which is underway throughout the island.
It is fully staffed, made up of 82 agents, distributed across all units on the island, and aims at a set of preventive activities, in order to contribute to ensuring that the festive season takes place in the most “perfect” tranquility, safety and security. peace for all.
The Christmas and New Year Operational Plan is scheduled to end on January 5th of next year.
