Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Volunteer Fire Department of Porto Novo are aware of the situation of rough sea in the Tarrafal de Monte Trigo, in the countryside of this municipality of Santo Antão.
The commander of the Volunteer Fire Department of Porto Novo, Balbino Gomes, said that this year, the corporation he commands has not yet received any request from the population, but is “attentive and prepared” to support if necessary.
“Every year we have supported people in the Tarrafal de Monte Trigo, but this year we have not received any request. However, we are prepared to intervene in any situation if we are called,” he told Inforpress.
In recent days, the rough sea has been felt in the Tarrafal de Monte Trigo and the residents at Praia area, in the bay of this locality, are on alert regarding the possibility of the state of the sea hardening at any time.
