Africa-Press – Cape verde. The City Hall of Ribeira Brava, through the Culture portfolio created the Ribeira Brava music school, a project funded by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
Speaking to Inforpress, Maria Silva, Councilor for Culture at the City Hall of Ribeira Brava said that, in addition to empowering more people in this sector and with appropriate tools, the project aims at “human education”, giving opportunities for people to be more creative.
“Although we want to empower people, the main goal is human education because if we don’t have people with principles and values, we can’t contribute to the world being a better place,” he said.
Maria Silva said she believes this is a way to give more opportunities for people to “be more creative and more sensitive.”
