São Vicente/City Hall Case:  Prime Minister urges representatives to find “better way” to work together

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, urged the Councillors of the parties represented in the City Hall of São Vicente to find “better way” to work together and end the political deadlock has been going on since January.

The Chief of executive, who spoke to journalists in Praia, said a process is underway that “involves the verification of situations, which have been denounced by the irregularity of several decisions, which will try to create conditions for the normality of governability back on the island”.

“In political terms there is a work underway between the political representatives of São Vicente, I am talking about the MpD, the UCID, and PACIV to find the best solution, because the voters gave what exists in terms of vote for governance to be shared,” said Ulisses Correia e Silva, so the parties have to find the “best way” to work together.

The mayor of São Vicente, Augusto Neves, said on Monday, the 14th, the Government will send later this week to São Vicente a delegation from the Ministries of Finance and Territorial Cohesion to meet with all parties involved in the political deadlock has been taking place since January.
