Africa-Press – Cape verde. The president of PAICV’s Regional Political Commission in São Vicente, Adilson Jesus, said that one of the biggest challenges of the party on the island is to have a candidate for the local authorities by the end of the first quarter of 2023.
The leader of the African Independence Party of Cabo Verde (PAICV) in São Vicente, who was sworn in the post on Saturday, the 2nd, in a regional assembly of the militants, in Mindelo, pointed out as one of the main challenges of his presidency to have the functional bodies in the structure of the party.
“It needs to move forward now and also the mobilization of militants in all regions and make them feel like participating in PAICV activities and being part of the family,” he said, adding that the party should be a tool for all Cabo Verdeans and help build a “new land” in Cabo Verde.
As for the challenges of the local authorities in São Vicente, Adilson Jesus said he hoped they could have a candidate for the City Hall already defined by the end of the first quarter of 2023, a year before the next elections.
