Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Management of Transcor SV is satisfied with the updated prices for tickets and bus passes, and considers that this was to be expected, given the law and the increase in fuel prices.
Manuel Monteiro, as a member of the company’s Board of Directors, says that the increase in fuel is one of the determining factors for this update in the price of tickets and passes, and that, from January to April of this year, there was an increase of 26.8 escudos in fuels, which corresponds, in percentage terms, to 25%.
For Monteiro, this update is a satisfaction for the company, but it arrives late considering that the last update took place in May 2017. However, it is a decision that has not been liked by users of collective passenger transport, as can be seen on social networks, where complaints have arisen regarding the change that people often do not receive.
It is in this sense that some internet users hope that the company will be able to fulfill its share as well. It should be noted that this is a determination of the Multisectoral Economic Regulatory Agency (ARME) in consultation with this sector, which resulted in an increase in bus tickets from 40 to 43 escudos, in São Vicente, in force from next Sunday the 1st. of May. In Praia the price increases from 41 to 43$00.
