Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Education delegate in São Vicente assured that classes started “smoothly” today, despite the mobilisation of around 30 students from the Lameirão and Ribeira de Vinha areas.
“We started with calmly, responsibly and in a spirit of much dialogue with the educational community,” Jorge da Luz assured the press today in Mindelo.
According to the same source, most of the 15,000 pupils expected for this year are already enrolled, although there are still some delays. Hence the appeal to parents and guardians to “take responsibility for enrolling their children on time”.
On the other hand, Jorge da Luz assured, all teachers transferred and placed in São Vicente are already in their schools and between today and Tuesday teachers will be allocated to provide services, due to unpaid leave, maternity leave and other related with health.
