Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Union of Industry, General Services, Food, Civil Construction, Agriculture, Private Security and Maritime and Port Services (Siacsa) scheduled for Thursday, 10, in Mindelo, a protest by the company’s workers Atunlo, with passage through the Ministry of the Sea.
According to the coordinator of the union in São Vicente, Heidy de Andrade, several situations have been reported by workers at Atunlo, conservation and fish processing, including “arbitrariness in the payment of the productivity subsidy” and dismissals, for which, even, rules out the possibility of advancing with a strike notice.
In the same way, the protesters should still protest in front of the Ministry of the Sea, on Avenida Marginal, since Siacsa, according to Heydi de Andrade, accuses Minister Abraão Vicente of being aware of “irregular situations, some even communicated by the union” in certain companies on the island, including Atunlo and Frescomar, but which “refuses to have meeting to find the best way to solve the problems.
“Instead, he proceeds with untruths in the media, with accusations against the union, listening to only one of the parties, which is the companies”, reiterated the coordinator of Siacsa in São Vicente.
