Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Cabo Verdean Music Society (SCM) now offers its services for registering authors and artists, licensing and payment of copyrights, at the Balcão Único of the Municipality of Tarrafal, in the interior of Santiago.
The novelty comes after a week of training in the municipality, in partnership with the local authority, aimed at training technicians at the one-stop shop, commercial licensing and inspection and the Culture office.
O objetivo é dinamizar e fomentar o desenvolvimento do sector das Indústrias Criativas e Actividades Culturais no município.
The training provided, according to SCM, falls within the scope of the cultural partnership, signed between SCM and CMT, last February, in favor of the Defense of Copyright and Related Artists from Tarrafalenses.
“The materialization of this project is a commendable initiative to launch the necessary conditions for the appreciation of the works and all creations of the Cape Verdean artistic class, safeguarding and guaranteeing that copyrights are duly guaranteed”, underlined the same source.
