In São Filipe, the four young people detained by the National Police and presented on Friday afternoon to the São Filipe district court for being involved, presumably, in the practice of qualified robberies and robberies in residences and hotels will await the development of the process in preventive detention.

One of the young people was paired with the other who was taken to prison in the middle of this week, while the other acted alone.

The two young people, according to a source close to the Mosteiros district court, had been in prison and had been free for just over six months for the crime of robbery after the court suspended the sentence for a period of two years. In the São Filipe group, one of the four young people had been sent to civil prison.

In total, this week, seven young people in their 20s were sent to prison to await the development of cases related to crimes of qualified theft and robbery, four from the city of São Filipe and three from the municipality of Mosteiros, not counting the minor who will be heard next week.
