Africa-Press – Cape verde. The State announced this Thursday an additional period of 10 days for those interested in joining CV Handling, a company that provides assistance with air transport at the country’s seven airports and airfields, it announced in a statement.
“The State of Cape Verde took the decision to grant an additional period of 10 days to present expressions of interest”, said the State Business Sector Monitoring Unit (UASE).
This is a limited competition, with prior qualification, to select a strategic partner to acquire a share that can reach up to 51% of the shares, launched on February 20th.
CV Handling is on the State’s privatization list.
In addition to the quota allocated to a strategic partner, another 10% will be reserved for the company’s workers and Cape Verdeans in the diaspora.
CV Handling was created in 2014 and is the only operator licensed to provide air transport assistance services, maintaining exclusivity until each airport reaches a movement equal to or greater than two million boarded passengers or 25 thousand tons of cargo.
