Africa-Press – Cape verde. Transport statistics in the first quarter of 2022 show a 137.2 percent increase (%) in aircraft at airports and national airfields, compared to the same period a year earlier, the INE said today.
According to data provided by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), there was also a 374.8% increase in the number of passenger movements at airports and airfields.
According to the same source, the country recorded an increase of 7.4% in tons of cargo and an increase of 71.2% in the postal service moved at airports and airfields. On the other hand, in national ports there was an 8.0% increase in the number of ships movements, an increase of 53.2% in the number of passengers moved, as well as a 23.9% increase in the number of goods moved.
In terms of bus transport, there was a slight decrease of 0.9% in the number of passengers.
