Africa-Press – Cape verde. The National Director of Education, Adriano Moreno, says that schools can introduce swimming as an extracurricular offer. According to him, the curriculum plan for the physical education discipline is being developed to be discussed with schools.
Adriano Moreno, who spoke to Inforpress about the possibility of introducing the modality of swimming in the discipline of physical education, guaranteed that, at the moment, such a decision is not part of the Ministry of Education’s agenda despite being defended by some teachers.
“If there are any suggestions from teachers when reviewing the program, we are willing to analyze it”, he said, stressing that it can still be introduced by schools as an extracurricular offer, as is done with other modalities.
Adriano Moreno says he agrees with the idea of creating a municipal swimming pool as long as the contribution is to provide the country with future swimmers for high competition.
