TACV: Flight scheduling only one month in advance affects tourism in Santo Antão

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The advance of just one month, with which TACV/CVA has made tickets available, is hampering the presence of more tourists on the island of Santo Antão, which is in high season, as noted by the Association of Guides on the island.

As Vanderley Costa, director of this association, told Inforpress, this decision by the airline does not allow tourists to plan trips to the island of Santo Antão in advance.

Meanwhile, the island is experiencing its high season in tourism, which takes place between October and May, and which has been marked by the constant arrival of groups of tourists to participate in circuits.

The tour operators and guides praise the fact that tourists from several Northern European countries are arriving in Santo Antão, despite the constraints that still exist in terms of domestic air transport.

Information provided to Inforpress by tourist offices on the island confirms that groups of visitors constantly arrive in Santo Antão for the practice of trekking (walking on trails), the main tourist product that this island offers.
