Africa-Press – Cape verde. From the 20th of March onwards, TACV Cabo Verde Airlines will operate flights to and from the Fogo, Maio and São Nicolau aerodromes, covering the entire country, as a complement to the TICV Bestfly operation.
According to a company source, flights to the islands of Fogo, Maio and São Nicolau will be carried out using a new plane rented by TACV from Global Aviation, which is already in the country and which since Thursday, 7th, is carrying out Bestfly flights, on a service provision basis, to fill the void left by the company’s plane going for maintenance in France.
“From Thursday, March 7th until March 19th, we will be operating Bestfly flights with the Global plane, which arrived in Cape Verde on Wednesday”, detailed the same source.
From the 20th, this aircraft will be operating TACV flights which will be distributed by travel agents and on the company’s website www.caboverdeairlines.com from Saturday, March 9th.
TACV adds that it is working to improve Cape Verde’s connectivity with the world and internal connectivity.
On February 29th, the company began operating domestic flights to and from the islands of Santiago, São Vicente, Sal and Boa Vista with the ATR 72-600 6V ASN leased from Air Senegal.
“The program is designed to facilitate connections between the islands and at the same time increase connectivity with international flights. The company will offer flexible schedules and rates, in order to allow greater circulation of domestic and tourist traffic”, states a press release sent to Inforpress.
