TACV Transports Nearly 7900 Passengers in Late August

Africa-Press – Cape verde. After three days of disruptions that led to the temporary suspension of inter-island flights, TACV, Cabo Verde Airlines, confirmed that, as of Friday, August 29th, 132 flights had been operated, transporting approximately 7,900 passengers throughout the archipelago.

According to a statement from the company, 30 flights were scheduled for Friday alone, as part of the ongoing Action Plan to normalize inter-island transportation.

The strategy includes additional flights and a fleet reinforcement on high-demand routes, such as São Vicente, Santiago, Sal, and Boa Vista.

Between August 25th and 28th, the carrier operated 102 flights, of which 21 were extra flights, including 15 with Boeing aircraft, allowing for faster throughput of waiting passengers.

TACV assures that it will continue working to restore normal inter-island connections in the coming days and asks for passengers’ understanding for any inconvenience caused.
