Africa-Press – Cape verde. A Boeing 737-700 should arrive in Cape Verde in the next few days to support TACV. The information was released yesterday by the Angolan Transport Minister, Ricardo Viegas D’Abreu.
Ricardo Viegas D’Abreu made this announcement to the press, within the scope of the conference on the Joint Commission between the two countries, indicating that on Monday an updated bilateral air service agreement and an operational leasing agreement between the airlines will be signed. TACV and TAAG.
“It is a first agreement, in Africa, that Angola signs in these terms, and which is based on the principles of the Yamoussoukro Decision and the Single African Air Transport Market (MUTAA), so it is a very pragmatic sign of what our commitments are. ”, he clarified quoted by Inforpress.
The agreements with TACV are, as they say, the first step to be taken towards the materialization of the assumed commitments, which can then integrate other countries in the regional or CPLP context.
According to this source, a memorandum of understanding will also be signed in Praia between the Transport Ministries of the two countries, for the continuation of the work, particularly in the exchange of experiences, opportunities and training.
All this, he explained, so that the parties involved can take advantage of the reality that is intended to materialize with the hub of the island of Sal and Luanda.
“This will allow the two airlines and others in the civil aviation sector to take advantage of this work, maximizing either from a regional or continental point of view”, he stressed.
Another agreement, indicated by this official and to be signed during the visit of the PR of Angola to Cape Verde as of Monday, will be made between the civil aviation authorities of the two countries.
