Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Chamber of Tarrafal de Santiago yesterday contemplated 100 families with plots of land, under tenure regime, of which 50 include architecture and stability projects. The initiative was part of Cape Verdean Women’s Day. So far, around 500 families have already been awarded plots of land under tenure arrangements by this city council team.
President José dos Reis “Mayka”, highlighted that this is yet another “commitment assumed and fulfilled” by the municipality and reflects “what has been the policy measure of this city hall that focuses on the well-being of the people”.
According to the local council, in a press release, for over 15 years many families have been waiting for this “good news”, which will contribute to improving the quality of life of the 100 families covered.
Including, the municipality advanced that, in the near future, more families will be contemplated.
According to the same source, up to this moment, around 500 families have already been contemplated with plots of land in a leasing regime by this city council team, in a period of two years and four months of governance.
