Africa-Press – Cape verde. The AJAT-SN team won, last weekend, the São Nicolau Cup in football, referring to the 2022/2023 season , by defeating Desportivo da Ribeira Brava by 2-1 in the final . With this achievement, the team from the city of Tarrafal won the competition for the third time.
The AJAT-SN team’s goal came just before the break with Tchin scoring with a header following a corner kick. The winning goal came in the second half through a penalty kick by Flávio.
In turn, Desportivo da Ribeira Brava was the first to score in the match through Kevin, with a free-kick.
The end of the match was marked by the revolt of the players and supporters of the Ribeira Brava team, with the match referee having to leave the field with a police escort.

AJAT-SN will represent the island of São Nicolau in the Cape Verde Cup, the second most important football competition in the country at club level, where it will face, in the first round, União Desportiva de Santo Crucifixo, regional champion of Santo Antao North.
The match is scheduled for the weekend of 06/07 May, when there will be a break in the National Football Championship, at the João Serra municipal stadium, in Ponta do Sol, Ribeira Grande, Santo Antão.
