Africa-Press – Cape verde. In April 2024, the Consumer Price Index (IPC) registered a monthly variation rate of 0.1%, decreasing by 0.3 pp compared to the previous month, as revealed today by INE.
The accumulated rate of change in the IPC was 0.0%, a rate 0.3 pp lower than that observed in the same month of the previous year.
According to the same source, the year-on-year rate of change in the total IPC, in April 2024, was 1.0%, accelerating 0.7 pp in relation to the previous month.
In the period under analysis, the IPC registered an average variation of 1.7% over the last twelve months, 0.3 pp lower than that recorded in the previous month.
The underlying inflation indicator (total index excluding energy and unprocessed food) showed a year-on-year variation of 0.9%, 0.6 pp higher than that recorded in March 2024.
