Africa-Press – Cape verde. The 13th round of the Boa Vista regional football championship, played this weekend, served to update the standings, in a scenario where África Show extends its lead with the championship title already secured.
With the regional title already decided in favor of the Rabil team, attention turned to the dispute for the remaining podium places and the last positions.
África Show, even already champion, did not make it easy and beat Sal Rei, second place, 3-1, with two goals from Gilvan and another from Argel. Sal Rei’s goal was scored by Lisandro.
This result leaves Sal Rei stagnant at 24 points, as runner-up with only three points more than Juventude, which is in third place.
In the other match of the round, Sporting da Boa Vista benefited greatly from the updated standings after thrashing Desportivo 3-0, with a goal from Birane. They jumped to fifth place with 14 points, overtaking Sanjoanense and Onze Estrelas in the overall standings.
Current standings after Round 13: África Show leads undefeated with 37 points, Sal Rei maintains second place with 24 points, closely followed by Juventude with 21, and Académica with 19 points.
In the other half of the table, Sporting now occupies fifth place with 14 points, followed by Sanjoanense with 13, Onze Estrelas with 12, and, at the bottom of the table, Desportivo, which remains with 10 points after Sunday’s defeat.
The competition is nearing its end, with the upcoming matches serving to determine the final results of the season.
