Africa-Press – Cape verde. The World Oceans Day 2022 commemoration proposes to reflect on the theme “Revitalization: collective action for the ocean”, in the year that Lisbon hosts the Oceans Conference from June 27 to July 1.
The theme proposed by the United Nations will be under discussion today, World Oceans Day, at an event in New York, organized by the United Nations Division for Ocean Affairs and The Law of the Sea, to present proposals on the communities, ideas and solutions to be worked together to protect and revitalize the ocean and everything it sustains.
According to information provided by the United Nations, the meeting will serve to hear from various leaders, celebrities, institutional partners, community voices, entrepreneurs and industry experts, “as they de-depth into key topics and work to inspire and propose collaborative change.”
“The ocean connects, sustains and supports all of us. However, its health is at a tipping point, as is the well-being of everything that depends on him. As the last few years have shown us, we need to work together to create a new balance with the ocean.
