Tripartite agreement will give greater projection and dissemination of Lusophone wealth and culture

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The City Council of Ribeira Grande de Santiago, the Associação Cultural Criativa and the Centro Interculturacidade de Portugal signed this Thursday a tripartite agreement aimed at creating the Casa da Lusofonia and greater projection of wealth and lusophone culture.

The partnership update protocol was signed this afternoon, in Cidade Velha, by the mayor, Nelson Moreira, by the president of Associação Cultural Criativa, João Pires, and by the presidentedo Centro Interculturacidade de Portugal, Mário Alves.

On the occasion, Mário Alves explained that it is a framework protocol and execution of a permanent cooperation program, called Circuito Cultural Lusófono created and managed by various civil society organizations in Portugal and Brazil, which established partnerships in those countries and in CaboVerde with public entities.

“Our idea is that these protocols allow for a greater projection, presence and dissemination of the richness of Cape Verdean culture, in particular Ribeira Grande de Santiago, abroad, but also allow the municipality, the island and the country to receive a set of growing number of cultural manifestations from other countries, from the Portuguese-speaking world and beyond”, he said.
