Africa-Press – Cape verde. The women’s football team started today, 9, at Estádio da Várzea, in Praia, the internship for the UFOA tournament, which takes place from January 20 to February 1, on the island of Sal.
According to a note from the Cabo Verdean Football Federation (FCF), the first training session will take place at Estádio da Várzea.
Also, according to the same source, the Executive Board of UFOA has already confirmed the participation of the nine national teams in the zone, namely Mali, Mauritania, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea Conakry, Guinea Bissau, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Cape Verde, host country.
For Cape Verde, it is the second participation in tournaments at an international level and it will be another opportunity, within the framework of the process of developing national women’s football, for our athletes.
