Africa-Press – Cape verde. The University of Cape Verde (Uni-CV) has extended the application deadline for Erasmus+ mobility grants to the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA) in Portugal until October 16, 2025.
According to a statement from the institution, the extension, formalized by an addendum to announcement No. 001-2025/26, aims to allow the participation of candidates who did not apply during the non-academic period and to strengthen academic exchange between the institutions.
The grants maintain their original purpose, four-month duration (from February to June 2026), and the financial support provided by Erasmus+.
According to the same source, applications are open to Uni-CV students in their second year of undergraduate studies, master’s degree candidates who have completed their undergraduate studies, or doctoral students with at least one year of study and a defined research project.
Adequate language proficiency and a study plan compatible with IPCA’s training offerings are required, and this scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships from the IWONDER+ project.
The application process is exclusively online and requires documents such as a valid passport, curriculum vitae, cover letter, enrollment statement, transcript of records in English, study plan, and reference letter, as well as other relevant documents.
Selection will be based on three criteria: relevance of the study plan (60%), candidate motivation (20%), and no prior participation in mobility programs (20%). The funding includes €850 per month for subsistence and €580 for air travel.
Uni-CV also warned that those selected must meet pre-departure document submission deadlines and submit institutional reports upon their return.
